Complete Turnaround, part 5
By: Chocolate-chan

Goten was gone before Trunks woke, and stayed gone until mid-afternoon. Being Saturday, Bulma had plans, Vegeta was training, and Bra was shopping with her friends. Trunks was really the only one hoome when he showed up asking for lunch. Trunks made him some, noting that he looked relaxed and slightly flushed, and was unconsciously smiling. "I told you that some physical activity would help you. Was I right?"
"Of course you were," Goten admitted freely. Several times Trunks had attemted to convince Goten that some training would do him good. Goten usually shrugged and agreed, but never 'got around' to it. "I'm hungry!"
As soon as his lunch was finished, Goten went back out and did his job. When he showed up for dinner, which was just Bra and Trunks, he was almost languid. "The old guy couldn't figure out how I finished in one day."
"I can't figure out how you finished in one day. Didn't you have to paint?"
"Nope," Goten answered grinning at Bra. "I'm all done. It was almost fun."
"No wonder he's so eager to 'accept the consequenses'," Bra muttered as she left the room. Trunks shrugged at Goten and said something about Bra being jealous. She brought in a pillow and threw it at his head, and he tossed it back at her from the doorway as she scurried away.
Goten practically inhaled his dinner.
"Your appointment with Dr. Seiki was today," Trunks informed him. "Do you still want to go?"
"Sure," Goten replied. "Do I have time for a shower?"
"Make it quick."
Pretty soon, Goten was brushing out his still-damp hair and stamping his shoes on. The ride was silent, and they came up to Dr. Seiki's third-floor office. She ushered out a young woman she was speaking with and waved to Goten and Trunks to come in. Trunks followed when Goten didn't ask him to stay out. Goten once again raided the candy dish, but was polite about it.
"Good evening, Goten. How are you feeling?"
"I feel okay," he murmured around a piece of taffy. Trunks nodded politely when she inquired of him, and Dr. Seiki scanned her notes.
"I have to tell you, Goten, these sessions are getting better and better. Do you feel better after being here?"
"After a little while," he answered after some thought.
"That's very good. So tell me what's happened with you lately?"
"Nothing much...." Goten trailed off.
"I heard you were rebuilding a barn."
"I did that," he replied, grabbing another piece of candy.
"You're finished already?" At his nod, she collected her thoughts. "Why did you set fire to it, Goten?"
"I was out there all alone, and I was thinking about my mother. I just felt the sudden urge, but I knew I'd get in even worse trouble if I blasted it down myself." Goten snuck a look as Trunks, who nodded slightly. He and Goten had explained their martial arts to the therapist some, and she understood the concept slightly. "So I figured that no one used that barn anyway, 'cause they didn't, and I thought no one would miss it."
"Only that man was planning on using it again."
"Yeah," Goten said with a sheepish grin. It fell away as he continued. "I guess I thought it would distract me."
"Why didn't it?"
Goten explained about everything that had happened afterward with Trunks and Chichi, noting that his burning down the barn had been a direct cause of his pain.
"Why are you so angry with your mother?" Trunks paid more attention at the question. He had been unable to figure it out, and his gentle inquiries did nothing to encourage Goten to talk. He only looked uncomfortable now.
"I don't know," he said quietly.
"Why would you guess?"
"I just..." Goten bit his lip and explained about what had happened with Pan. Trunks was surprised at Chichi's overreaction. "I don't understand why she would have treated me like that," Goten said, clasping and unclasping his hands in his lap. "What did I ever do wrong that made her so angry at me? I'm not a psycho, and I'm not helpless, so she doesn't have to watch out for me all the time."
"Trunks, you look as though something's on your mind." The doctor and Goten both looked at him, curious and surprised.
"Uhm..." Trunks smiled a bit and said, "No offense, Goten, but I know just how high your mother regards you father's intelligence. And you've always been just exactly like him. Y'know, except younger. And less powerful."
Goten's eyebrows lowered on that last line, making him look very much like Goku. "Kaa-san always speaks of Dad like he's an idiot."
"She's always taken care of him, and you too up until now."
"Maybe that has something to do with the current situation," Dr. Seiki commented.
"He's not directly under her thumb right now, for maybe the first time ever," Trunks told her. "She really has no idea what's going on. The worst part is, I've always felt like she and Goten don't communicate all that well."
"I see," she said, and chewed slightly on her lip, thinking for a long moment. "Please continue."
Goten shrugged slightly, retreating as he did.
"What about Trunks? Pardon me for speaking of you as though you were absent," Dr. Seiki said to Trunks, who merely nodded, saying he could leave if Goten wished.
Goten shook his head slightly, and the doctor continued. "That is to say, how do you feel in regard to your conflict with him?"
"Uh.... it's bad?" Goten tried.
"Let me rephrase that. Why do you think you and he are having trouble relating?"
Goten still seemed uncertain, but appeared to get it a little better this time. "I dunno.." Goten sank into his seat as he grew distracted, thinking. He kept his eyes turned aside. "I don't think he completely understands how I feel."
"Why do you say that?"
"How can he know?" Goten struggled to keep his voice from faltering. "He wasn't there."
There was a brief silence that stabbed at Trunks.
"Do you think about that a lot?"
Goten shrugged.
"Did you? At first?"
Goten's lips moved slightly, but there was no sound. The doctor asked him to speak up, and he glanced over at Trunks.
At last he turned his gaze away and whispered, "Every time I looked at him."
Trunks turned his face away.
"Do you think he meant for that to happen?"
"Of course not!" Goten sounded startled. "I don't... blame him..." he seemed to lose steam.
"Did you?"
"I....." Goten sounded lost.
"Goten, it doesn't reflect on you if you did. It's normal; if you didn't, it would mean that you're in emotionally better condition than we thought." She had seemed to pick up that Goten appreciated to be told the truth.
"I.." Goten swallowed. "At first," he admitted. "When I was telling him that I didn't, that I forgave him, I was trying, but... it was so hard. I always..." with this he broke off and had trouble continuing.
The doctor pressed only gently, but with no results. Trunks at last took a shuddering breath and steeled himself. "Goten," he said, reaching over to clasp his hand. "Me. Talk to me."
Goten regarded him with his dark eyes lowered. He swallowed, and at last managed, "I'm sorry...."
"There's nothing to be sorry for. But I need to know how you feel. Tell me what you've been holding back, please..." Trunks swallowed past his dry throat.
"I... I did! I didn't want to, but I resented you, and I could never figure out why. No matter how hard I tried, even when you tried to reach out to me I wondered why." Goten pulled his hand away and turned his face downward. "I'm sorry.."
Dr. Seiki's words kept both of them from dissolving, but they didn't help too much. "Was it because it was you and not him?"
Goten looked up as though the thought hadn't occurred to him, and shook his head slowly with lips clamped together.
"Was it because he wasn't there?"
Goten's gaze fell again, and even before he forced himself to nod Trunks knew that they had hit home.
"Even when..." he looked up at the doctor. "Even when he blamed himself, especially then, I tried to forgive him because I didn't want to see him hurting too."
"I was hurting, Goten," Trunks said softly, "because you were. There was nothing you could do about that."
"After a while, I stopped thinking about it," Goten said, speaking to him once more. "I forced myself to, because I knew it wasn't your fault. I just couldn't help that little twinge that came when either of us spoke about it."
"I was always the stronger one," Trunks said, almost to himself. "And I told myself a long time ago that I would protect you no matter what. The first time I had to, I failed."
"That's not true!" Goten insisted, blinking back the wetness in his eyes. "You're always there for me. What about when we fought together as children? You saved my life."
"And you saved mine," Trunks pointed out.
"There were times back then when I felt like I failed, too. When I saw Brolly kicking the crap out of you," Goten began.
"Itai," Trunks told him.
"-I tried to get back to you, but I felt so weak."
"I didn't feel like a failure, back then," Trunks said thoughtfully. "You remember the purple stuff?"
Goten shuddered.
"I picked you up before it could reach you... you were passed out. I remember over the past month or so, those nights you would have nightmares, I would sit back and wish it were that simple again."
"We know only physical stuff," Goten said, smiling slightly, seeming amused, abashed and sad.
"Even back then, I felt like I was responsible for you. I was the one you asked all your questions, especially when Gohan said you were 'too young to know.' And I came to realize later on that my father had raised me to believe that I was better and stronger than you because you were Goku's son and I was his, and back then I believed it subconsciously."
"You? Responsible for me?" Goten seemed amused at the idea.
Trunks paused for a moment, and then his chin dropped slightly. "Goten, you don't know how sorry I am that I wasn't there to take care of you. I know you don't want another person around who thinks you need to be protected, but I can't help it. I want to be able to make sure you're always alright." He sounded tired.
"No matter what I said, I don't mind it, if it's you." Goten flushed slightly and looked away. He smiled slightly, facing away still. "Besides, I know it's really me taking care of you."
"I deny that," Trunks said, looking at him again. Goten turned his head and gave Trunks an almost shy smile. Trunks admitted to himself then that Goten was often the factor that kept him sane.
"You can deny a tornado, too... until it rips up your house."
"Goten, I'm sorry that you felt that way."
Goten's smile faded. "I just want to forget about it now. I don't really blame you. I never really did."
"I wish we could forget about it too." Trunks snapped his fingers and threw a sly glance at Goten. "Just when things were getting good, too..."
Goten looked at him, then the doctor, faintly horrified.
"Just what is it that the two of you aren't sharing?" Dr. Seiki asked, and Trunks realized that until then she'd been quiet, observing. Goten looked at Trunks and flushed slightly, and Trunks sent him a questioning look.
"Might I infer a guess?"
Goten nodded slightly.
"First, perhaps I'll have to share something of myself with you." Dr. Seiki folded her hands on her desk. "I came out of college specializing in rape therapy. I got married, quite a few years ago, and it ended quite badly. As a result, I went back and got a second degree... dealing with couple therapy."
Trunks looked up, startled. So, he noticed, did Goten.
"I could see it the moment you walked through the door that first day." She looked sure, and neither of them contradicted her.
"You can imagine then, what a strain this has been," Trunks said at last. "It was only the week before, when..."
She nodded.
Goten slid down into his seat. "I didn't think there would be any chance again," he said. "I'm not capable."
"Everyone says that at one point in their life, Goten." Dr. Seiki said with some knowledge. "I said that after my divorce. Children say that when learning to tie their shoes. Here I am; aren't you wearing laces?"
"Is it the same thing?" Goten asked softly.
"What do you think?"
"I wouldn't have a clue."
"Do you honestly believe you are incapable of feeling love?"
"Iie," Goten said, mildly surprised. "I've learned to feel again."
"Again?" Trunks asked.
"I didn't, at first," Goten told him softly. "It was easier that way. Nothing meant anything."
Trunks' brow creased slightly.
"Do you feel love?" Dr. Seiki asked.
Goten hesitated and nodded. "It's a little confusing, because I'm not sure if I did, before. It was a bit of a shock." he glanced aside at Trunks. "But I know that's what this has to be, what I feel now."
Trunks gave him a cute smile as a silence stretched. "You can, you do; is it for me?"
"You know I love you." Trunks looked satisfied with that, so Goten concentrated on turning and flushing.
There was a slightly uncomfortable silence, and Dr. Seiki asked them if there was anything else they were feeling that they wanted to talk about. Goten looked away, and Trunks thought.
"Goten.."
?
"You know how your mother said she wanted you to go back home. Are you going to?"
"Why would I do that?"
"Maybe it would be better for you... but I don't want you to go if she asks."
"Why would it be better for me?"
Trunks looked at the doctor, who merely motioned for him to tell Goten using his own means. "It's just... that I knew before, and I guess it was verified, that I caused you pain, and I never feel like I know what to do to help you. Maybe you would be better with your family. You need to talk to your mother anyway, because I know you love your family. What about Pan? She adores you. You can't just stay with me forever, even if I want you to." This last was a contradiction of his request, but Trunks admitted that if it was what was best for Goten then he would see it done.
Goten seemed to shrink away from the question.
"First thing is first, whatever way; you need to talk to your mother." Goten looked away with a clouded face, and Trunks got the feeling that it was something that they would argue about later.
"He's probably right," Dr. Seiki told Goten gently. "Of course, it's your relationship with your mother, so we really don't have the place to tell you. I think you'll eventually see what you need to do for you, however, so I don't think we should worry."
Goten looked at her and at Trunks, who only nodded once as though to agree with what she had said.
"I'm getting tired," Goten said, and sat up. "Do you think we could go?"
"Of course," Dr. Seiki said, having felt that they had said all they could say in a day anyhow. "I'll see you next week?"
Goten nodded and walked out the door. Trunks paused, bowed and followed him.
At home, Goten plopped down on the couch and Bra, who was on the phone, thrust a bowl of popcorn that she was done with at him. She went out of the room arguing about something. Goten looked side to side, and finished the popcorn with a shrug and set the bowl aside. Trunks watched him in amusement as he hung his jacket. Goten didn't need to eat that- showing that he was feeling a little closer to normal. His eating habits had come back so gradually that Trunks had barely noticed.
He plopped down as Goten had done, beside him. "Wanna watch a movie?"
"Hai. No to the second question."
"What was the second question going to be?" Trunks asked with a raised brow.
"Do I wanna pick one. I don't care. I'm tired. I just wanna watch something."
Trunks rolled his eyes and found a movie channel instead of going to the cabinents. A half-familiar movie came on the screen, and he shrugged and tossed the remote aside. Goten lay back, but he looked a little uncomfortable.
"Here," Trunks said. He pulled Goten to him and lay back on the couch, settling Goten on him gently. Goten blinked at him a bit but relaxed. Trunks found that he was more comfortable as well, even if it was hard to concentrate on the movie since it was late and he was comfortable.
Goten, as he had predicted, was asleep in no time. Trunks turned the TV off and rubbed Goten's back softly, seeing how asleep he was. He sat up, ignoring Goten's change in breathing that accompanied his change in position. Picking him up somewhat awkwardly, Trunks carried him upstairs. I know I should take you to your room, Trunks thought to him.
However, after everything that had been said, he felt as though he could only relax with Goten close to him. He went into his own room and lay with Goten on the bed. The sight of his innocent face affected Trunks as it always did, and he held Goten close to him as though to ease the ache of the evening.
He wasn't sure what it was that woke Goten, but he happened to open his eyes sleepily to see Goten looking at him carefully in the dim light. "How did I know we would end up here?"
"How did I know it would take you all of five minutes to fall asleep?" Goten grinned sheepishly, and Trunks shrugged. "I'm comfortable here, especially with you." Goten tilted his head somewhat, and Trunks kissed him once on the lips. He was prepared to sleep, pulling Goten to him like a doll or security blanket. But when he did, Goten's face came close to his, and the dark-haired teen kissed him back.
Trunks opened his eyes again, smiling slightly at him. "We had an interesting conversation today."
"I never wanted to have that conversation," Goten said, sounding guilty.
"Tell me, did you ever really believe that if you said nothing you could avoid it forever?"
"Iie, demo... it's not something I wanted you to hear."
Trunks kissed him again, and then on the temple lightly. "I want to know everything about you." I thought I did.
"Are you sure you're prepared for that?"
"I don't know. But I want to know anyway." Trunks opened his eyes again and looked into the dark pools that blinked at him.
"What do you want to know?"
"How should I know? I don't know what there is to know."
"Uhm... I'm confused." Goten screwed up his face in an angelic look of confusion.
"You're too cute, Chibi." Trunks laughed softly and hugged him.
Goten smiled shyly.
That look was too much. Trunks kissed him, and again when he returned it, holding him tighter. Goten complied, with the hesitancy he had displayed in his affections ever since the incident, but it slowly faded until it was just the two of them. Goten's hands moved to hold onto him, and Trunks breathed him in, thinking of the things they had done when they had slept together. Shit, he told himself. That's exactly what'll happen if I don't cut this out! Trunks pulled himself away, his mouth parting reluctantly from that of the other demi-saiyan.
"I'll let you get some sleep," Trunks said, his voice sounding a little strangled to himself.
"Don't," Goten said, catching his wrist. "Don't leave." As Trunks rose from the bed he found himself pulled back to sit, the grip on his arm never wavering.
"Goten... I just don't completely trust myself around you. I wouldn't want to do something that would scare you or hurt you..." he trailed off, looking for delicate words as Goten held onto him. "By confronting you before you're ready."
"I don't care," Goten said. Trunks' eyebrows shot upward. "Whatever, it doesn't matter. I just want you with me, I don't like it when you leave." Goten pulled the older boy back to him, and Trunks followed his lead as though mesmerized. Goten kissed him, murmuring when they breathed, "I like it when you're with me. I really feel like you care."
"I do," Trunks confirmed readily, and found himself on the receiving end of the kiss once more. "Chibi, are you sure?"
Goten caught his breath and nodded. Some part of him was screaming that he should be afraid. But it's Trunks... he would never want to hurt me. Trunks held him, cautiously at first, but his arms slowly readjusted to be more comfortable, and his mouth met Goten's and held on in a way he had nearly forgotten. He slowly melted into the arms of the purple-haired teen, even letting Trunks roll him to his back gently.
Goten had the absurd urge to open his eyes even in the middle of the kiss, and the feeling grew almost unbearable, so he at last let his eyes slide half-way open. Something in him was relieved that it was still Trunks. Who else would it be?
He could feel that Trunks was hard, and felt himself respond without any thought toward it. The kiss broke and Trunks' eyes met his almost reassuringly. His mouth moved, kissing his neck, sucking on the soft skin very lightly, tongue teasing him gently. Goten's eyes closed at the conflicting emotions and sensations, but they soon opened again, watching him.
Goten couldn't help a small sound when his love disposed of their clothing. Trunks' eyes flicked up toward his uncertainly, but Goten bit his lip and nodded, and their bodies met slowly. Goten's eyes locked onto Trunks' slightly dazed ones, distracted by his desire and the closeness of its cause. Trunks was warm, nearly hot, his skin smooth where it brushed over Goten's. His mouth found that of the dark-haired teen, and leaned into him as he explored his mouth intimately, taking him completely with his tongue, licking the inside of his mouth over and over. As he pressed himself against Goten, the younger demi-saiyan felt a shiver of alarm and fear.
There was a sudden jolt as he found himself drawing away from Trunks, feeling as though the walls were pressing in. When that jolt was over, he was on the top, and Trunks' arm wound tightly around his waist and pulled him down, still kissing him. Goten was a little disoriented at the change in position, and opened his eyes to see his lover, hair almost a dark shade against the light sheets.
"Are you okay?" Trunks' voice was rough and low, just next to a whisper. Goten found himself unable to respond, and Trunks seemed to understand. Trunks cupped his face and brought him into another kiss, easing back from it slowly and letting Goten move as he liked.
Goten froze as he felt Trunks taking his wrists, and pulled back abruptly. Trunks took one of his hands, positioned it about his own wrist, and did the other the same, until Goten was gripping him tightly. Slowly, as though in surrender, Trunks eased his arms back and pressed them to the bed, waiting for Goten's next move.
Goten drew a breath as Trunks smiled slightly at him. He's giving himself to me...? He intensified his grip and pressed Trunks into the bed, then leaned down to take his mouth slowly, still thinking about this. He could feel the other's pulse beating rapidly in his wrists, the skin soft and yielding when he squeezed as tightly as he could and then loosened hs grip again. As though confidence had suddenly been instilled in him, he opened his mouth and slammed it onto Trunks', who took a breath and was taken before he could respond; Goten forced him back into the bed with the force of the kiss, tasting him deeply, tongue almost rough but infinitely pleasing.
Trunks moaned softly into him and arched slightly, erection rubbing into Goten. The dark-haired teen caught his wrists together in one hand and with the other held his hips still, making Trunks grunt slightly and strain.
Goten drew back to see his flushed face, and something in his too-dark eyes sent Goten's pulse racing, feeling somehow unconstrained knowing he was under control somehow. He felt a sudden need to be inside of him, now, to take him and make him cry out. Something gave him the feeling that then everything would feel better.
Hands traced a light path over taut muscles, feeling a shiver go through them both. Mouth followed, playing over ridges of Trunks' perfect physique, and Trunks watched, breathing rapidly. Goten had released his wrists, and Trunks kept them above his head like a good boy. He blinked as though afraid to miss something, and Goten glanced up at him, then reached out hesitantly with his tongue, flicking it over his lover's erection. Trunks' purple head fell back, a nearly unnatural sound coming from his throat, a combination gasp and moan.
His hands reached down as though on intinct, fisting into Goten's hair, who grinned at him slightly as he opened his eyes again. He moved his tongue around the tip of his arousal, watching his face with interest as he whimpered.
"Chibi..." Trunks' hands pushed slightly at the back of his head, and his voice nearly broke on the word.
"Hope I do this right," Goten murmured, letting Trunks' hands guide him slightly as his mouth went down on him. Trunks' signals grew slightly erratic, and Goten blinked up to his his face tight with strain and need. When Trunks lost all knowledge of anything besides that moist heat that enveloped him, Goten moved on his own, and Trunks' hands were ungentle on his hair as his hips bucked, trying desperately to hold still.
Goten's hands took a grip on his waist, doing a fair job of holding them down, as he opened his mouth the best he could, all the way to the back of his throat and took his lover in deep. After many minutes of Trunks' groaning pants filling the air, he was unable to hold out, and his legs, wrapped around Goten's torso where the other knelt between them, tightened around him and he came hard. Goten tried to swallow, but not having had the experience before lost much of it, and moved down to clean his skin, mouth pressing to his skin as he licked away the evidence. Somehow the taste was addictive, and at last Goten raiesd his head.
Trunks looked slightly drugged, his pupils so dialated there was only a thin rim of blue as he looked down and brought Goten to him. The kiss they shared was slow and involved, and Goten made no effort to rush it. Even though he was aroused, despite the hollow ache in his groin he still felt trepidation. He could feel Trunks' brow furrow in concentration as he pushed with one fisted hand to bring Goten deep into his mouth. Goten shivered and melted at the heat of soft velvet teasing his mouth.
Trunks readjusted, his hands moving over Goten's back slowly, his legs around his lover's waist. He's not afraid, why should I be? Goten reached down, fingertip moving along his opening, before sliding into him gently. As he was allowed to move again, after Trunks adjusted, Goten explored him slowly, just barely hitting a spot that made his purple-haired lover draw breath. He added another finger with the first, and was careful to stroke that spot. It was obvious that it was the place he was searching for; Trunks gripped him tighter and closer, a low groan working from his throat over Goten's senses. He dug his fingers in deeper, into that spot and Trunks cried out once more, the sound risng into a slight whimper.
Feeling slightly disoriented, Goten moved out of him and positioned himself. After a moment's hesitation, Trunks tightened his legs, crushing Goten against him and forcing his lover into him, drawing out a pained sound from himself and a desperate groan from Goten. He held Trunks tightly around him for a moment, feeling the queer effects of the perception of a double heartbeat, the feeling of muscles closing intimately on him, before he moved back and thrust in again, registering if not interpreting Trunks' reaction. Soon he was moving in and out of him freely, his mouth slightly open as Trunks held him tight and moved with him, hips thrusting back against him.
Kami... Goten could feel Trunks blowing lightly in his ear, maybe just breathing, but in response his tongue traced a wet path up his neck and down again, nipping lightly at the warm skin beneath his jaw, where his neck and shoulder met, behind his ear. Trunks tensed and Goten had to use more effort in entering him, but Goten nearly passed out feeling that tight heat on him, increased pressure, losing even more of the rhythm as he moved, but Trunks only gave more effort to meet him until Goten at last reached his brink and went spinning over, something in his mind freeing as he came, leaving him limp, languid and helpless. Trunks gathered him close as he sank, and their mouths met in a tangled dance over and over again.
At last Goten dared to open his eyes and look into Trunks' blue ones, more composed than his but having been equally shaken before. "Are you alright?" Trunks asked him tenderly, taking the rounder face in his hands.
Goten blinked his slightly glazed eyes and looked at him. "That was... oh.." Goten said, as though he'd forgotten something at least, even if it was only the describing words for whatever he would have said.
"Wasn't so bad, Chibi?" Trunks asked as one hand went through his hair slowly, lulling Goten relaxed against him.
Goten gazed at him, nearly mute. "It was... good for you?"
"Hai," Trunks agreed, nodding slightly as his fingers rubbed at Goten's scalp.
Even with me scared to death, he... Goten swallowed and met his eyes. "Will you.. do something for me?"
"Anything."
"Make love to me. This time, I want to know I can be with you and not be afraid. Onegaishimasu?" He asked at last when he saw Trunks' reluctant expression.
"But already, we've-"
"Please?"
Goten looked up at him with bright dark eyes, black like polished onyx, and Trunks would have had trouble denying him under any circumstance. But now it was especially hard, with the very real tumult of emotions in his eyes. "Wakarimasen-"
Goten evidently decided that he wouldn't wait anymore. He reached between them and took Trunks into his hand, fingers and warm palms bringing him up hard as Trunks' head fell back, trying to reclaim his balance.
Goten refused to let him go even when pushed away, and Trunks could do nothing but respond as he wanted. The harder Trunks pushed at his chest, the tighter he held, coaxing kisses from his older lover, who leaned his head away unwillingly and tried to break them.
"Just give up, Tru-chan..."
Trunks opened his eyes to regard Goten's amused expression. After all, it wasn't like he was fooling either of them by resisting. At last he reached down and gathered Goten to him, one hand around him on his hip, the other moving over the warm skin of his back, leaving Goten with a shudder. Trunks' hand found that sensitive spot at the base of his spine, and he pushed his fingertips over the small of the younger teen's back, feeling Goten arch into him, clinging and moaning softly, not even noticing as Trunks sat up with him and held the boy differently.
Goten's uneven breath fluttered over his skin as Trunks continued to stroke him in that one spot, leaving Goten helpless in his arms. The other hand moved down to map him out as he had been himself earlier, fingers at his entrance; still remembering the feel of him but moving slowly. Goten's eyes snapped open when he felt the intrusion, and his grip grew almost painfully tight. But he was so inundated in waves of fear and well-being that he didn't know which to follow, and when Trunks found that erotic spot within him, his eyes fell to half-way open, clouded with pleasure and lust and decreasing his ability to think.
Fingers dug into his back so that pleasure twisted on the better-feeling edge of pain, and Goten went limp again in the strong arms that held him, brow furrowed and hands fisting against his lover's skin, feeling all of the conflicting emotions and sensations in him as he was touched slowly.
Trunks at last decided that better now than ever, and he positioned himself, bringing Goten down onto him slowly, as gently as he possibly could. He felt his awareness splinter at the sensation of being inside of him, but forced himself through the blood pounding in his ears to keep still.
Goten's face was rigid and pale, and he held on to Trunks tightly, not letting him move at all. Trunks tried to breathe deeply and keep perfectly still. Goten looked at him with unreadable eyes, shocked nearly into nonresponsiveness. At last he took a ragged breath, and Trunks could feel the muscles that had clamped painfully tight around him relax somewhat. "Okay," Goten said quietly after a moment, taking another breath as he grew used to the sensation and fought off nightmares from before.
"Look at me," Trunks said softly as Goten's eyes closed.
Goten's eyes opened, focusing on his.
"Don't look away," Trunks told him, and his hands gripped him and moved him up along his body, up on his erection, and down again, watching as Goten shuddered everytime he passed that spot within him. Goten held onto him, moving to draw him close as need overcame thoughts. Trunks pulled Goten to his chest, but wouldn't let him cling the way he wanted.
"Keep your eyes on my face." Trunks glued his eyes to Goten's, registering each small change in him as he moved. There were flickers of light across his dark eyes and his face, slight tensing in the muscles of his jaw and temples.
Trunks was amazed that Goten was on his lap and yet was still smaller than him. His arms moved tightly around Goten to cradle him close, feeling the light teasing friction of their bodies as they moved together slowly, for Goten wasn't still, reacting to movements or overbalancing. But for the most part he was still, eyes on his lover's blue orbs.
Trunks moved his hips a little harder, thrusting upward another fraction each time, seeing Goten's eyes drift closed as a moan vibrated in his throat, but his eyes then snapped open again before Trunks could remind him. Is he still afraid?
He took the erection between them in hand, lightly stroking him as they moved. Goten could no longer keep his eyes open, pressing into Trunks and shivering as he whispered into his ear, "Say my name."
Trunks swallowed. "Goten..."
"Again."
Trunks' grip tightened on him, moving them a little faster together as he murmured, "Goten," and bit his lip.
"Yes," Goten whispered, moving against him, still slowly. "Talk."
"What?" It became stuck in his throat; What do I say?
Goten groaned softly as Trunks thrust up against him again. "Say something."
"Goten-" Trunks' mind blanked, and he at last only whispered whatever came into his head, hearing Goten cry out softly from time to time, occasionally make a sound in response to whatever he'd said; it all flew from his mind the moment it was out of his mouth. After what seemed an ageless time inside of him, building up to the moment, Goten's fingers dug deeply into him, mumbling his name clumsily as he came, all of the muscles in his body snapping tight and rigid, including the ones surrounding his lover. Trunks shuddered and came in him, teeth sinking into his shoulder to muffle his voice.
His hand gripped Goten's thigh, supporting him as he layed him back onto the bed, feeling Goten still tremble in his arms. He opened his eyes after the longest moment, and pulled the blanket around them as the heat from their love-making started to dissipate. "Goten?"
Goten's eyes opened to his, and when he saw the look on his face his eyes grew a little bright with unshed tears. "I... never thought I would feel so good again," Goten whispered.
Trunks' eyebrows knit as he reached up, kissing him softly, and when he drew away Goten's lips were still wet with him. "Then it was okay?"
"Okay?" Goten's eyes slid shut again. "I feel free."

"You know you really need to talk to her, Goten."
"I know," Goten replied, sitting in the car with one foot across his knee, seemingly thoughtful. "I'm not angry with Kaa-san anymore."
"Demo?"
"I don't know. I just feel like... we need to talk about some things."
Goten's last appointment with his psychiatrist had been yesterday. Trunks thought he sounded a little more intellectual lately, like her. When he had asked, Goten said he respected her very much for what she had done for him.
What she's done for us, Trunks corrected mentally, adding his own thanks.
They pulled down the dirt road that led off from the small paved one, and Trunks slowed the car as they went. Goten was good at urging the car over the rough road without stirring up so much dirt and stuff. Trunks wondered briefly why he didn't like to drive. But then again, it didn't exactly compare to flying, now did it?
"What are you going to say?" Trunks asked.
"Is that your business?" Goten returned.
"No. What are you going to say?"
"Not a clue," he replied at last. "Wonder if she'll treat me like a psychopath."
"You're not a psychopath, and she knows it."
"Thanks for your support, but your belief doesn't make it true."
"I am the prince of all Saiyans, who do I need to convince?" Trunks tossed, and Goten laughed at him.
"I'm glad for you. Thanks for everything." Goten reached one arm and laid a hand on his lover's.
"I love you, Chibi. You just do your best, okay? She'll forgive you, too."
"Are you sure?"
They pulled up in front of the Son home and Goten sat next to him for another long moment. Trunks turned and kissed him on the cheek, holding him for a moment. "I know it. If she doesn't, tell her it's a royal decree."
"She'd probably swell up into a royal pain in the ass if you said something like that."
"True. Good luck, Goten."
"Thanks, Trunks." He climbed out of the car and shut the door behind him. Trunks watched as he walked up to the door and knocked. Chichi came and she hugged him without having exchanged words. He watched as Goten apologized, and she accepted and immediately brought him into the house.
He cranked the radio up, leaning back into the seat. He thought about it with a smile. Goten is the love of my life, Trunks realized, as he found how happy he was for his successes. Maybe I should ask him to mar-
Whoa. That's a whole other road. Doesn't sound unpleasant....
But on the whole, things were looking up for Goten.
